She is the Human Resource Manager and Administration of JL Properties, her core mandate includes recruitment and interviewing of qualified personnel, orientation and training, conflict resolution, evaluation of employee productivity and ensuring that the company is protected from regulatory sanction. Prior to her joining JL Properties Limited she worked as the Project Coordinator on the SA-IBS project (Danida Funded project) for five (5) years. Her core mandate there was to liaise with local government representatives, partner agencies and the IBS management in Denmark. She also had oversight responsibility over all staffing and training issues and also the successful implementation of the project. She is an affiliate member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners of Ghana and has a certificate in marketing from CIM-UK. Joana is a highly motivated and organized individual, who is results oriented and prides herself in being a humanitarian and a feminist who believes in the empowerment of the girl child.

She holds Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the law faculty of GIMPA, Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies (HRM Option) awarded by the University of Cape Coast. She also holds an EMBA in Human Resource Management with the University of Ghana Business School.
